“I needed to move quickly for my job but wasn’t quite ready to buy yet. I also wasn’t interested in renting an apartment. Luckily, I ran across Eileen who was willing to help me look for a rental property near my job. It was pretty obvious that she wasn’t your typical agent (I had worked in the marketing department at a real estate, agency-so I’ve met many). In the beginning, she was able to provide special insight that only an agent can-things to look for in a rental property to tell if it was well taken care of. For example, one property seemed okay, but the air conditioning unit was old and rusted. I honestly would never have even looked at that, but she looked at the little things. Essentially, she knew I wanted to ensure that my electric bills weren’t high, so it was something I needed to take into account. She looked at all angles for me on this. Once I found the right property, her legal expertise (yes, she is ALSO an attorney) was incredibly important when working through the documents because the homeowner lived in California.
